TTCIH is leading the way in the development of E-LEANING COURSES for its health workers programme and other courses , drawing from its expertise in medical education methodologies, clinical expertise and technical eLearning capabilities . The TTCIH was the first center to introduce the eLearning programme ICATT [IMCI Computerized Adaptation and Training Tool] Together with the Swiss Tropical and public Health Institute and Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development, the center is currently developing its own eLearning sessions for training in maternal and child health to integrated into the AMO curriculum The center also established eLearning project in 2010.The project endeavors to help TTCIH become a center for excellence in terms of
- Human Resource and technical infrastructure for eLearning
- Quality and internationally accepted eLearning modules for health workers
- Increase the number of health Worker force graduates.
- Conduct Continuing Development [CPD] courses for health workers.
The center also hosts and tailors courses for partners and course providers, including a nine-month Community Health Agent course and capacity Building Course in Malaria control program.
Current course partners include UNFP, Jhpiego Tanzania, PATH, among others.
