The Tanzanian Training Centre for International health (TTCIH) is a health training institution, established under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between the Ministry of Health, (MoH), the Novartis Foundation and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute. The TTCIH aims at supporting the Tanzanian government’s national health reform policy for strengthening human resource development, through providing quality health training, facilities and services.
TTCIH provides a range of courses in health at national and international arena. It is a pioneer and partner in eLearning for health in Tanzania and beyond. It has an ambition to become an E-Learning hub in Africa thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning in our institutions as well as increasing the number of Clinicians and other healthcare workers in Tanzania and beyond. It has participated in major e-learning conferences within and outside the country and has gained significant experiences in developing and delivering e-learning packages to clinicians. TTCIH has entered into partnerships with a number of organizations to adapt and implement e-learning modules in different health areas.
The TTCIH is situated in the unique Ifakara cluster, a “Centre of excellence” in health training, research and medical practice.
